About Keith

I am a photographer and printmaker, using traditional, historical and contemporary photo processes, and the book arts. I started printing in silver-gelatin in the mid-1970s, platinum-palladium in the 1980s, and polymer photogravure in 1999. I still work mostly with film using Rolleflexes, Mamiyas and Leicas.

In 2011 I was a recipient of a year-long mentorship at the Minnesota Center for the Book Arts (MCBA). I then spent time in Italy, studying with Enrico Giannini, a fifth generation bookbinder, in Florence. From MCBA I learned a contemporary approach to the book arts and from Enrico the traditional methods, handed down through hundreds of years.

Originally from London, I now live in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
